43 Seats
Up to 80 with flexible seating
Leopold Bloom is a small, new jazz club in Berlin-Charlottenburg. With 43 seats in the standard seating
arrangement—expandable to up to 80—the space is intentionally designed to be intimate: more like a living room than a concert hall.
Concerts are typically held twice a week, usually on Mondays and Wednesdays. The focus is on
international jazz musicians, complemented by selected artists from Berlin and Germany.
Thomas Reiter: He had been thinking about opening his own jazz club for a long time. With this group of people who share a common goal, the idea is finally becoming a reality. As an entrepreneur with an international network and a trained hotelier, he combines his passion for jazz, his love of hospitality, and a special sense of quality and atmosphere.
Zainab Bednarz: The club is a labor of love into which she pours a great deal of passion, time, and energy. Thanks to her experience in the fashion and modeling industries, she has always been drawn to music, art, hospitality, and travel. As a mother, warmth, connection, and bringing people together are especially important to her. At Leopold Bloom, she oversees day-to-day operations, coordinates the team, and creates a welcoming, warm atmosphere.
Rudy Redl: Originally from Munich, Germany, hee has been part of Berlin’s music scene as a producer, composer and keyboardist for nearly 30 years. Actually, he was initially only asked to select a suitable piano for the Leopold Bloom. However, this encounter with Thomas and Zainab quickly led to something more: a friendship, a shared musical vision—and ultimately an entire club. Rudy combines his deep knowledge of the Berlin scene with international connections, bringing together musicians, ideas, and venues.
Eric Vaughn: Drummer and session host Eric Vaughn, originally from Georgia, has been a part of the Berlin jazz scene for many years. He knows the musicians, the city, and the special venues where jazz can take place. Time and again, he has brought music to places where one wouldn’t initially expect to find it. This openness, his eye for talent, and his international network are now an integral part of Leopold Bloom.
